I am so excited about this little vintage bench I purchased. The dealer said it was probably from the early 60's. The embroidery is impeccable and the pleated skirt floats in fullness around the sturdy maple stool it dresses. The plan for this is to accompany an antique vanity I have in my workshoppe. Unless someone would like to own it alone. Check it out...

This took me a bit longer to finish than I thought, but, alas, it is done. There are so many various uses for this luscious vintage piece. It's a console, buffet, dresser, low hutch, credenza, call it what you want just call it yours. It is simply stunning, and with three great sized dovetailed drawers and two shelved cabinets, it has storage galorage with out overwhelming your space. The top I sanded all the old varnish off and redid it with a dark stain and polyurethane. The body was painted in a cream chalk paint with a warm tan chalk paint on the decorative insets. Then I dark waxed and lightly distressed for a rustic, naturally aged feature. Next, I hand applied a staining technique with the same dark stain as the top for continuity and highlighting. Finally, I rubbed another coat of wax over it, this time in clear just to seal all the beauty in. The inside of the cabinets are the original cream chalk paint with polyurethane protection. I replaced the small hardware on the trellis backplates with clear diamond cut glass knobs. Drooling. The gorgeous drawer hardware I painted in a satin nickel. Every inch of this piece complements another and it's practicality is perfect. The design and style will blend with any decor genre. I'll let it speak for itself. Wouldn't you love to spread your holiday buffet on this? Or gather around for game day with your widescreen atop? At 70"L x 32"H x 19"D, it is available to grace your space. I added extra photos because my camera was being a brat and some photos looked a smidge fuzzy, and I wanted to show off every cranny this has to offer. It couldn't wait to show itself in full. This cabinet is solid and boasts great storage space. I stained the top and shelving inside a rich brown and sealed with polyurethane. The main body is a custom mixed blue chalk paint with taupe chalk paint accents and inside the doors. The original hardware is painted in a deep red which is gorgeous with the blue and taupe. The whole piece is lightly distressed and clear and dark waxed. Available to grace your home in any area. I was thinking kitchen, dining room, playroom, family room, bathroom, anywhere really. And before: I wanted to share the before and after pictures of a couple of pieces I recently completed. I'm sorry, but I don't have before shots for all my work because sometimes I dive in and then realize I forgot to take a picture. Irritating. Below gives examples of some transformations I completed and have available if you would like to bring them home with you...
