Well, I found a sunny yellow, apple red, forest green and pale tan. I can use each alone or combine them for some amazing autumn colors. I also got a small size of an odd dark gold kind of color. It looks a bit like butternut squash or something else that is a brownish-gold. I joked with the sales guy that it looked like something a baby may leave in a diaper. He hesitantly agreed not wanting to a) hurt my feelings or b) convince me to ditch the paint. However, he could not hide his expression from me. Yet, I was weirdly drawn to it and kept envisioning it used somewhere. Then I would shake my head and set it down. Then pick it back up because there was just something about it. The longer we stood there staring at it, we both agreed it has its place on the chart of beautiful autumn tones. I may try a frame in it or side table to ease it into my palette. But I really like it, so you never know-you just may see a full out dresser or, even better, a big old armoire strutting it. I din't put a picture of that up because it'll be a lovely surprise. Fun ahead...
The leaves right now, as shown in the orchard photos a few posts back, are so vibrant and rich that I said I would love to paint some pieces the same tones.
