I sanded down the outside and inside of the drop front wood and gave it a fresh coat of stain and a few glossy coats of polyurethane on the outside and the inside. For the case, body and interior drawer faces, I painted four coats of Soldier Blue true milk paint by OFMP and then waxed with the Daddy Van's. As I always reassure anyone who is a first-timer with milk paint, keep painting after the first coat. Miracles happen and it transforms into a beautiful finish despite how it may appear at first.
Once I had the body fully covered in the gorgeous blue, I decided to add a little glam by hand painting the details, trim and hardware in a glitzy gold. Then I used the luscious Daddy Van's clear wax, also available through OFMP, to deepen and enrich the blue paint.
As a brand blogger for OFMP, they provided the product I used to complete this project.
