There are so many various uses for this luscious vintage piece. It's a console, buffet, dresser, low hutch, credenza, call it what you want just call it yours. It is simply stunning, and with three great sized dovetailed drawers and two shelved cabinets, it has storage galorage with out overwhelming your space.
The top I sanded all the old varnish off and redid it with a dark stain and polyurethane. The body was painted in a cream chalk paint with a warm tan chalk paint on the decorative insets. Then I dark waxed and lightly distressed for a rustic, naturally aged feature. Next, I hand applied a staining technique with the same dark stain as the top for continuity and highlighting. Finally, I rubbed another coat of wax over it, this time in clear just to seal all the beauty in.
The inside of the cabinets are the original cream chalk paint with polyurethane protection. I replaced the small hardware on the trellis backplates with clear diamond cut glass knobs. Drooling. The gorgeous drawer hardware I painted in a satin nickel. Every inch of this piece complements another and it's practicality is perfect. The design and style will blend with any decor genre.
I'll let it speak for itself.
At 70"L x 32"H x 19"D, it is available to grace your space.
I added extra photos because my camera was being a brat and some photos looked a smidge fuzzy, and I wanted to show off every cranny this has to offer.
I almost forgot the uggie before:
