This super hearty beauty had such amazing detail that I could barely get it out of my van before I was attacking it with paint lids and trim colors. I was pretty decided on the blue and coppery color with gold, but I ran the gamete of other choices just to solidify what I wanted to originally do with the design. Then, naturally, because it is my dreadful nature, I confused myself and painted samples on cereal boxes and stared at the combinations for days.
Then I just did it. I grabbed my brush, dunked and slapped that first coat on. Loved. I painted the gold detailing with a smaller artist brush, and it took four coats to get it bold and saturated. But boy was it worth it. The top was sanded, stained and topcoated with a gloss for superior looks. And lest you should breeze over them, halt, reverse and drool over those hot legs.
